Practical information

We’ll set off from the harbor in a sturdy boat, designed to navigate the Arctic waters with ease. As we cruise through the fjords, you’ll be surrounded by breathtaking landscapes, with the possibility of spotting wildlife along the way. From May to October, the area is teeming with activity, and the towering icebergs create an otherworldly backdrop.

Our first destination is the abandoned Arctic town, a hauntingly beautiful place that offers a glimpse into Greenland’s past. Here, you’ll have time to get a glimpse of the remnants of this once-thriving settlement, learning about its history and significance.

After soaking in the atmosphere of the abandoned town, we’ll continue our safari among the icebergs. The boat will slow down, allowing you to take in the majestic ice formations up close, all while enjoying a warm drink. Finally, we’ll make our way back to Upernavik, leaving you with unforgettable memories of your Arctic adventure.

    This tour is designed to be accessible for nearly everyone. The main requirement is that you are able to get on and off the boat safely.

    Even during the summer months, Upernavik's weather can be chilly, especially on the water. Consider wearing wool base layers, a warm sweater or light jacket, and accessories like gloves and a hat.

    You might encounter some sea spray, so it's a good idea to protect your camera and other valuable items in a waterproof bag. Please note that we are not responsible for any damage to personal belongings.
